Reassurance on my Goal: Bible time

After blogging last night that my goal was really to spend time in God's Word and memorize scripture, I prayed that God would reinforce this goal. I have a Joyce Meyer calendar that has a story and verse for each day. I begin each day at work, even before I turn on my computer reading this quick devotional calendar. This morning like all other mornings I read my calendar and the following is what it said:

The written Word of God is His formal decree. When a believer declares that Word out of his mouth, with a heart full of faith, His faith-filled words go forth to establish God’s order in his life. When the Royal Decree is pronounced, things begin to change.--Joyce Meyer

“I will declare the decree of the Lord….” –Psalm 2:7

God gave me the reassurance that I had asked for. I must have the word to decree the word of the Lord in my life and the lives of others. So I continue toward my goal with the assurance that the Lord will help me overcome my obstacles and learn His Word.
